Paulina Rodete is the talented designer behind Mexican jewelry line, Rodete. Originally a textile designer, it was towards the end of her fashion career, in the workshop of her teacher Don Juan, that her interest in making jewelry using limestone rocks such as marble and granite began.
Paulina is interested in giving an emotional function to each one of her pieces and generating stories from the raw materials she works with. Working with primitive materials is a bridge between the past and the future - transforming "useless" objects into objects of attraction.
“For me, jewelry is an expression in relation to body and space. Like any other artistic discipline, it contributes ideas and goes through various processes of research and production.”
