Huarache

98.00

The popular huarache is an iconic footwear style that dates back to Pre-Columbian times. Its name comes from the indigenous Purépecha word kwarachi. It's rooted in the Mexican farmworker and grew in popularity throughout Mexico and was later popularized in the US during the 60's. The huarache continues to be popular not only in Mexico but globally.

This tribute to the Huarache is designed by Laura Noriega, founder of Tributo, and is part of the Memoria y Creación Contemporánea Nayarit project. Each pair is lovingly handmade from natural leather in Nayarit by the Ibarría family and is available in tan, grey, and black.

Sizing Tip: The huaraches do not come in half sizes. Sizing up is recommended.
