Ruralista seeks to remind us of who we are at our roots through materials and honest design. It aims to challenge globalization and redefine and elevate regional culture.
Ruralista was founded in 2015 by Digital Artist and Designer, Rick Rossenham, as a result of a research project that sought to theorize, idealize, and materialize new forms. The essence of Rossenham’s project is based on the process of creation through anthropological, ethical, psychological and sociological facts.
The Relatos del Bajío collection consists of clay pieces made by artisans from from the central part of México called “The Bajio.”
“We love the act of transforming a material with ancient tools. We use our strength and our sensibility by translating all needs people have while creating pieces of art.”
